Wilson's Brief History of Christ's Hospital, 6th Edition (1838)

An unusually fine copy of the 6th edition of Wilson's charming little 'Brief History of Christ's Hospital', dated 1838, with 136 pages and 6 engravings. This is the first edition to mention the Founder's Day Dinner, and the first in which the engraving of the CH boy appears on its own page rather than as a smaller version on the title page. Proceeds shared equally between Christ's Hospital and the CH Museum.
